Book Club
Our book club is designed to make reading fun, social, and engaging! Each session runs over two weeks, meeting once a week for 2 hours. In Week One, we introduce the book together, spark excitement with a creative activity, and set the stage for the story. Every child takes home their own copy of the book to read over the next week at their own pace.
When we meet again in Week Two, we dive into a lively discussion, share our favorite parts, and wrap up with another themed activity that brings the story to life. Along the way, students connect with new friends who share their interests—making reading a joyful, shared experience. It’s the perfect way to build reading confidence, comprehension, and a lifelong love for books!
Miss Banks Pulls Lots of Pranks by Dan Gutman
June 13th and 20th
Get ready to laugh, imagine, and maybe even plan a little mischief (the good kind)! In this two-week book club, we’ll dive into the hilarious story Miss Banks Pulls A Lot of Pranks, a fun-filled tale about a teacher whose tricks keep her students on their toes.
In Week One, we’ll introduce the book, talk about the wackiest pranks we've ever seen or heard, and get creative by designing our own age-appropriate prank—something silly, safe, and just for laughs! Students will take home the book to read during the week.
In Week Two, we’ll come back together to discuss the story, share our favorite parts, and show off our prank designs. This club is perfect for young readers who enjoy humor, storytelling, and connecting with new friends over a shared love of books and fun.
